Beau Rivage ups the ante with new poker room

21 Dec 2023

(PRESS RELEASE) -- In advance of its largest poker event of the year, the Beau Rivage Heater Poker Tournament, Beau Rivage Resort & Casino ups the ante again for poker players with the opening of a new poker room today.

“We are thrilled to open our latest gaming amenity specifically for our poker players. Poker now has a permanent home that is closer to the casino entrance and the base of the conventional level escalators where our major poker tournaments take place, including our upcoming Beau Rivage Heater,” said Beau Rivage Poker Room Manager Adam Nash. “Our poker players have called our temporary poker room home for a number of years. Our new state-of-the art poker room is part of a larger-scale multi-million dollar project, and was definitely worth the wait. With the opening of the new room and likely our largest Beau Rivage Heater on the horizon, we are incredibly excited about poker in the new year and beyond.”

Located between the newly-refreshed Buffet and Buffalo Zone, adjacent to the convention level escalators, the new 12-table poker room offers guests a comfortable playing environment with all of the conveniences of modern poker. In addition to functional furnishing, the space also includes a four-window cashier’s cage, forms display and a dozen 65-inch and larger HDTVs for keeping up with the latest sports action while not missing a hand.

With the relocation, the smoke-free room remains semi-secluded but gains an open, bright feeling upon being seated at a table. Wood accents and wall millwork, as well as light patterns used for wall coverings, will carry over to the casino floor.

Designed by Dietz & Co. Architects with Southern hospitality in mind, as saying goes, “this isn’t your grandfather’s” poker room. Light walls with hints of a bright blue coordinate with the millwork found throughout Beau Rivage. Shades of blue in the trellis pattern of the room’s carpeting bring design elements together and help enhance the comfort of the room.

The poker room is open to guests daily from 10 a.m. – 4 a.m. with daily tournaments and promotions.
