Beau Rivage to host Huneeus Vintners wine dinner

Located in the Napa Valley, Huneeus Vintners is operated by Agustin Huneeus, who has been discovering great vineyards in 15 countries for more than five decades; his wife, Valeria; and their son, Agustin Franciso Huneeus. The family founded the Quintessa estate in 1990, and in 2005, established a portfolio of wines that represent the finest vineyard estates, appellations and wines in both North and South America.
In addition to the Quintessa estate, the family’s vineyard and winery projects include Faust Cabernet Savignon and Illuminations Sauvignon Blanc. In 2009, the Huneeus family partnered with Flowers Vineyards & Winery, with two vineyards in the Sonoma Coast dedicated to world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
“Our team is pleased to highlight the Huneeus Vintners family of wines, and feel our guests will enjoy the wine pairings at BR Prime,” said Beau Rivage Sommelier Harry Hall. “Our night will be capped off with the crown jewel of the Huneeus estate, the Quintessa. Quintessa is a rare wine and unique in that, depending on when it is harvested, it may include some or all of the five varietals grown on the property: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carménère.”
Huneeus Vintners brand ambassador and former “Terminator 3” actress Poppi Monroe will lead the event, starting with a reception at 6 p.m. inside BR Prime, one of only two Forbes recommended restaurants in Mississippi, and recipient of Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence.
Upon her retirement from a career in film and television, Monroe opened a wine bar in downtown Los Angeles. She then left the hustle and bustle of L.A. for Northern California, joining Huneeus Vintners, a journey that has taken her through every aspect of wine education, sales and marketing.
Six specially selected wines from the Huneeus family collection will be paired with a hors d’oeuvres and a five-course dinner at BR Prime. Reservations for the evening are $150 plus tax and gratuity per person, and may be made by calling 1.888.567.6667. Must be 21 to attend.
