Beau Rivage donates over $89,000 to local non-profits

“Beau Rivage team members go above and beyond to give back to the local community and support area charities through donating time, money or resources,” said Beau Rivage President & COO Brandon Dardeau. “Thanks to the generosity of our team members, 10 local non-profit agencies will receive assistance that will be vital to their organizations and the impact each organization has on the Gulf Coast.
Grant decisions were made by the company’s Community Grant Council, a voluntary employee committee that distributes donations not ear-marked for specific nonprofit organizations or programs into a grant fund with awards based on a grant submission process.
Local agencies receiving the grants focus on homelessness, health and wellness, education and food insecurities. Grant recipients include De L’Epee Deaf Center to provide assistance for their Deaf Children in a Hearing World program, Feeding the Gulf Coast for its Backpack Program in Mississippi, Gulf Coast Community Foundation and its MS Gulf Coast Youth Health Coalition. Funds received by Make-A-Wish Mississippi will be utilized to provide program services and wish granting, while Memorial Hospital at Gulfport Foundation will use the grant to support the Lori A. Sneed Ostomy Fund. Mercy Housing and Human Development Inc. received a grant to aid its economic stability post Covid through financial education and counseling programming while the funding will assist Moore Community House in facilitating its Women in Construction program. Son of a Saint will use funds to aid its caregiver support services. Southern Mississippi Planning and Development District Inc.’s grant will support the organization’s Senior Emergency Assistance program. The grant for The Bell Foundation Inc. will provide assistance for its BellXcel Summer Learning and Enrichment program.
MGM Resorts Foundation awards funding to local nonprofit agencies that provide services focused on fighting hunger, supporting families and improving the lives of all residents in our communities. Nonprofits are required to provide support of a Community Grant Fund focus area and operations must be in existence for a minimum of 36 months to be considered.
