Beastly poker advice from Americas Cardroom
29 Jun 2012
Starting THIS Sunday July 1st we're spreading the winnings out to our player base so everyone can benefit from Jackpot Tables (JB) each month. The standard Bad Beat Jackpot fee will continue to apply and no extra fees will be taken from the tables for The Beast. Instead, a portion of the existing fee will be distributed into two other components:
Monthly Cash Race
A portion of the jackpot gets thrown onto the cash portion of The Beast leaderboard. The points you earn get tallied as you play and earn you a spot on The Beast.
The payout structure for the cash race is calculated based on the size of the prize pool, when the prize pool grows so do the number of places that are paid.
Monthly Tournament Race
The Beast also includes a separate component that awards seats in satellite tournaments for major land-based events, like the PCPC and the LSOP.
As the jackpots gets bigger, we will able to hand out more and more seats to more and more players at the end of the month. Check the Rewards tab (The Beast) for details.
How does it work?
When you contribute to a raked pot at a jackpot table (JB), you'll automatically earn points toward The Beast. We use the contributed method of earning points, so everyone who contributes to the pot will receive equal share of the points awarded for the hand, regardless of how much they contributed. The number of points handed out for each hand depends on the table stakes you're playing:

Every player who ranks on The Beast leaderboard automatically competes for BOTH the cash prize and the tournament prize. Remember, the more you play the more you win because the more people play, the higher the jackpot grows!
