Bally's New York casino project takes next step

Bally’s thanks the New York State Gaming Commission for the confidence and trust signified by the issuance of this license and is immensely proud to bring the next generation of integrated gaming and entertainment to the Bronx.

Chris Jewett, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Bally’s, said the license approval represents a key milestone for the project and outlined the next steps for development.
“Today is the culmination of many years of hard work, and we are thankful to all of our stakeholders for their continued support,” Jewett said. “This project is a tremendous opportunity for the Bronx community, with more than $765 million in community benefits, thousands of jobs, and other economic development initiatives we will deliver. Our top priority now is to complete our pre-construction work as quickly as possible and get shovels in the ground. We can’t wait to bring this exceptional destination to the Bronx.”
Bally’s Bronx is expected to generate significant economic and employment benefits for the borough and the region. The project is projected to create thousands of union construction jobs during development and permanent jobs once operational, while delivering substantial new tax revenue and long-term investment in local infrastructure, workforce development, and community programs.
