Bally win three honors in ‘Top 20 Most Innovative Products Awards’

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI), a leader in slots, video machines, casino-management, interactive applications, and networked and server-based systems for the global gaming industry, today announced that Bally products earned three of the four most prestigious awards in the annual “Top 20 Most Innovative Products Awards” competition sponsored by Casino Journal magazine.

The Bally Mobile Platform won the Platinum award, and SKEE-BALL® video slots tied with another company to win the Gold award. SKEE-BALL® also received the prestigious Attendees’ Choice award which is determined by attendees at the annual Gaming Technology Summit, held last week at Green Valley Ranch Resort & Casino in Henderson, Nev.

Bally Mobile Platform enables casinos to create custom concierge and employee applications and mobile websites running across all devices from one central content manager, allowing casino personnel to create special content and offers and immediately distribute them to targeted customers and potential customers. Operators may alert players 24 hours a day, seven days a week about special offers, even if they are just driving by the property. Casinos can target content in countless ways – from age to player’s card level, from the month of customers’ birthdays to how far they are from the property.

With this cloud-based solution, operators input the information directly into the content-management system, and Bally’s Mobile Platform translates the information to an iPhone® app, a native Android® app, a native BlackBerry® app, an iPad app, and even a mobile website that works across hundreds of devices. From there, operators can track how the patrons who receive the information behave, seeing if they react to offers immediately.

SKEE-BALL® brings the arcade favorite SKEE-BALL game to casinos on Bally’s Pro V32 cabinet. The game includes an interactive bonus feature in which players touch and slide the touch-screen to “roll” the SKEE-BALL, winning “tickets” that enable them to “Pick a Prize” on the game that reveals credit awards.

Last March, the Bally Mobile Platform and SKEE-BALL® were two of the five Bally products that earned Slot Floor Technology Awards. The Bally Mobile Platform also received second place for Best Customer-Service Technology in the 2011 Gaming & Technology Awards given at last October’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas.
