Atlas World Sports acquires Lockspread.com
23 Oct 2024
"This acquisition is perfectly timed as Atlas World Sports is currently in the midst of our Series A funding round," said Robert Kraft, CEO and Co-Founder of Atlas World Sports. "Integrating Lockspread.com's unique and engaging DFS platform into our ecosystem allows us to deliver even greater value to our users. Lockspread is a perfect fit for our vision, and this deal accelerates our growth trajectory."
Positioned as the "Expedia for Sportsbooks," Atlas World Sports simplifies the sports betting experience by aggregating multiple sportsbooks and odds in a single app. The average sports bettor has four to five sportsbook accounts, and Atlas World Sports consolidates this information, providing users with a comprehensive view of the market. Combined with live scores, stats, news, insights, and predictive AI, Atlas World Sports empowers users to make informed betting decisions.
Lockspread.com operates in 23 states and has attracted a large user base. The company has achieved impressive growth through strategic ad spending and media partnerships. By leveraging data to optimize campaign efficiency, Lockspread has positioned itself for continued success in the rapidly expanding DFS market.
"We created Lockspread to offer a streamlined, fun, and rewarding DFS experience," said Daniel Group, CEO and Founder of Lockspread. "Joining forces with Atlas World Sports allows us to reach a wider audience and leverage their cutting-edge technology and sportsbook integrations. Together, our goal is to become the premier destination for sports betting and fantasy sports."
Atlas World Sports will integrate Lockspread's innovative DFS platform into its existing software, including its season-long fantasy platform. This integration will provide users access to Lockspread's unique game formats alongside Atlas' sports betting tools, insights, and real-time data. Personalized notifications, sportsbook connectivity, and expert tips will create a seamless and engaging experience for both casual and seasoned users.
Leading the new fantasy division and integration is Kevin Koeppel, who will oversee the relaunch of the platform under the Atlas World Sports banner in early 2025. Koeppel brings a wealth of experience to the role, having successfully founded and scaled No House Advantage, a daily fantasy sports platform that offered real-money contests across all major professional sports leagues. The company was acquired in 2021 and subsequently transitioned to Betr, founded by Jake Paul, in 2023.
"I'm thrilled to lead this new division at Atlas World Sports," said Koeppel. "This is an exciting opportunity to create a premier destination for both season-long and daily fantasy sports, driving value for users across all aspects of the platform, from sports betting and news to fantasy contests and expert insights."
Users will enjoy enhanced DFS options alongside access to Atlas' extensive network of sportsbook partners, including industry leaders like DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars, BetMGM, Hard Rock, and more.
