Ask Frank (How to Beat Roulette)
Hi, Mr. Scoblete!
My name is Max and I am an undergraduate film major at UNLV. I have been interested in casino gaming for a while--which of course started with Ed Thorp's famous book. My question isn't about blackjack, however, it's about roulette.
I have been searching mercilessly for years now and have been unsuccessful at finding a copy of Laurance Scott's self-published book/VHS set "How to Beat Roulette." In your roulette book you mentioned that you had obtained a copy of it--although the numerous spinning wheels made you dizzy after a while!
I was wondering if you could tell me where I can get a copy of Mr. Scott's book/tape. I cannot find it anywhere and really would like to have a look at it. Thanks for you time and thanks also for your many great books and contributions to the world of casino gambling!
Best Regards,
Max
Dear Maximilian:
The Scott material has been out of print and unavailable for several years now. The best available source for "visual wheel tracking" is Chris Pawlicki's book Get the Edge at Roulette: How to Predict Where the Ball Will Land! (Bonus Books, $13.95). You can get it from Amazon.com, any major bookstore, or from Paone Press at 1-800-944-0406.
Pawlicki goes into detail on this aspect of roulette play and if you master his ideas, you'll have arrived at the same spot where Scott would have taken you. As I stated in my book, visual wheel tracking is not an easy technique to master, but those who can do it get significant edges over the casino--especially on the new wheels that are almost perfectly balanced!
I hope this helped.
All the best in and out of the casinos!
