Arizona State Poker Championship returns to Talking Stick Resort
30 Jun 2022
“Of all the tournaments we host, the Arizona State Poker Championship is easily the most exciting,” said Ramon Martinez, director of public relations at Talking Stick Resort. “ Our players have big, colorful personalities and their poker play is mesmerizing,” he added.
The highly anticipated five-day tournament will kick off at 9 a.m. each day in The ARENA Poker Room with the semi-finals on Monday, Aug. 11. To enter the tournament, players will pay a $1,100 buy-in giving them $16,000 in tournament chips to start. However, those who wish to start with more will have the opportunity to purchase an additional $10,000 in bonus chips for $30. Players who make it to day five will return at 10 a.m. and play until a new champion is crowned taking home the 2022 Arizona State Poker Champion title.
Top players will earn a cash prize and trophy. Large prize pools draw large crowds and to mitigate crowds, Talking Stick Resort has partnered with Bravo Poker Live, to make registering for the event easy, fast and secure. Bravo Poker Live is the world’s most convenient and secure poker event registration portal on the web, and for the first time, players can utilize this tool to get in on the competition. The newly online registration process is available now by going to BravoPokerLive.com, or guests may register by signing up at the cashier in The ARENA Poker Room.
The annual tournament attracts some of the best players from around the world, who descend on Arizona to play in the ARENA Poker Room, the Valley’s largest poker room. It offers players 47 tables, surrounded by 16 big-screen TVs, plus special food and beverage menus served around-the-clock.
To sign up for the tournament players can register in person at The ARENA Poker Room cashier or at the Bravo Poker Live website. Those registering online must have a Talking Stick Resort Player Rewards Club Card. Deadline for online registration ends at 8:00 a.m. on 8 July 2022. However, entries may continue to be purchased at the poker room cashier, until the end of the first break, on 10 July 2022.
