APPT Macau and Macau Poker Cup schedules announced

The APPT returns to Asia’s gaming capital of Macau and the schedule will include twelve Official Asia Player of the Year events from the May 14-25, 2014.
The 12-day poker festival features the HK $25,000 (~USD $3,200) Main Event which runs from the 21st to 25th of May.
Last year, APPT Macau awarded HK $17,728,424 in prize money to 1,887 players across 11 cash tournaments and those numbers are expected to be exceeded in Season 8.

Players are telling us that they love these events, and this is demonstrated in the huge number of players that are taking part." said Danny McDonagh, PokerStars Director of Live Poker Events. “MPC20, the Platinum Series III, and Macau Millions have all hit new highs and the team has every reason to believe that this will be the biggest ever APPT Macau as well.”
The opening weekend will introduce the HK $5,000 APPT Warm-up event which comes with a HK $1 million prize pool guarantee. Other highlights include the HK $15,000 NLH and HK $100,000 High Roller events which take place on the second weekend of the schedule.

MACAU POKER CUP
The 21st installment of the Macau Poker Cup (MPC) takes place this August 1-17 and the popular regional series will expand to a 17-day schedule that includes 14 Official Asia Player of the Year events.
Once again, the legendary HK $11,000 Red Dragon main event returns with a HK $5 million prize pool guarantee. The MPC kicks off with the HK $2,000 Deepstack NLH and HK $6,000 Baby Dragon which comes with a HK $1 million prize pool guarantee.
MPC21 then concludes with the new HK $80,000 High Roller and the HK $20,000 NLH events on the final weekend.
Online satellites to the Macau Poker Cup begin on May 26.
