Anthony Werkman appointed CEO of Betway

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Anthony Werkman has been named as the new Chief Executive of Betway, replacing former CEO Richard Akitt, who now takes up the position of Chairman.

Werkman joined Betway in 2013, most recently serving as Director of Marketing and Operations, and has worked in the gaming industry since 2000.

He was born and educated in South Africa, where he completed an economics and politics degree. He relocated to the U.K. in 2006 and moved to Guernsey to work for Betway in 2013.

Akitt served as CEO of the Group for the past five years, leading Betway through a dramatic period of growth.
