Americas Cardroom's $1.5 million tournament series kicks off July 30

30 Jul 2015

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Americas Cardroom's $1.5 million poker tournament series kicks off on July 30th and includes the Million Dollar Sunday, the next installment of Americas Cardroom's popular $1 million guaranteed event. The online poker series has something for everyone with buy-ins ranging from $3+$0.30 all the way up to $500+$40. Game types include limit and no-limit Texas hold’em, Omaha and PLO8.

“Million Dollar Sundays have been so popular, we've decided to pack it into an even bigger series for poker players of all stripes,” said Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. “The $1.5 million tournament series packs a punch over just 4 days and provides players with lots of opportunities to win. We look forward to welcoming back previous Million Dollar Sunday players and seeing new faces at the tables.”

The next Million Dollar Sunday gets underway on August 2nd at 3pm ET and is the third Million Dollar Sunday tournament of the year. The event features a $1 million guaranteed prize pool, with $200,000 guaranteed for the tournament champion. But players don't have to wait until Sunday, August 2nd to take down a major tournament.

The Million Dollar Warm-Up kicks off on Thursday, July 30th at 3pm ET with a $2,000 guarantee. The tournament series features $65,000 in first-day guarantees, spread out throughout the day. The schedule repeats itself the next day, giving players $130,000 in guarantees before the weekend even kicks off.

On Saturday, players can compete for an additional $32,000, followed by another $135,000 on Sunday. Add to the mix the mega satellites to the Million Dollar Sunday tourney, and poker players are in for $500,000 in guarantees.

Add the $1 million guaranteed Million Dollar Sunday to the mix and the 4-day series features an impressive $1.5 million in prize money.
