Americas Cardroom to satellite 25 players to the LSOP
1 May 2012
"We wanted to give as many opportunities as possible to our players to play in the inaugural Peru event," commented Americas Cardroom's spokesman Michael Harris. "This poker tournament offers a generous prize pool at an exotic destination at a fraction of the cost to the players than many of the other major tournaments around the world."
The LSOP is now in its third year of operation. The tour added its second yearly event after the overwhelming response to the Punta Cana Poker Classic (PCPC) that runs each November. The PCPC over doubled its prize pool and in the first two years and continues to grow. The LSOP added the Peru destination after recognizing the demand of the poker playing public for more locations to play poker in Latin America.
Winners of one of the $3,500 packages in May will receive the $1,500+150 Main Event buy-in; round-trip airfare up to $800; 5-night hotel accommodations in Lima, Peru; and airport-hotel-airport transportation in Lima.
