Americas Cardroom supersizing its April 7 tournament

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- With the sheer magnitude of the Online Super Series still fresh in the minds of poker players across the country, Americas Cardroom is supersizing its Sunday tournament this April. The U.S.-facing online poker site today confirmed a $200,000 Guaranteed Texas Hold'em tournament is scheduled to take place on April 7 at 7:00 p.m. ET.

The event costs $200+$15 to get into, but new depositors and existing depositing players are invited to win their seat for free through a special Depositors Freeroll promotion.

"After a successful first two months of big guarantees, we're bringing our players exactly what they've been asking for — another big weekend guarantee," said Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "And because we want to see more players in this one, we're handing out spots in special freerolls for seats in the $200k to any player who makes a new deposit."

The $200,000 Guaranteed tournament takes place on April 7, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. ET. The Texas Hold'em tournament with 10,000 starting chips and unlimited re-entries during the first 12 levels costs $200+$15 to get into. But poker players can win their seat for free.

Beginning March 9 and running every Saturday through to the end of the month, Americas Cardroom is holding a Depositors Freeroll at 12:00 p.m. ET. Each tournament pays out four seats in the $200,000 Guaranteed event.

New depositors who make their first deposit will earn a spot in every Saturday freeroll remaining on the schedule. Existing players who have already deposited can earn a spot in the next scheduled Saturday freeroll by reloading cash into their Americas Cardroom account.

Players who miss out on the freerolls can work their way into the $200,000 tournament for as little as $0.55. Americas Cardroom is running hourly qualifiers at 20 past the hour that feed into a $25+$2 nightly event. Each nightly event at 6:15 p.m. ET pays out at least one spot in the April 7 tournament.
