Americas Cardroom sending nine players to play in WSOP Main Event

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Expect to see a lot of Americas Cardroom patches in Vegas at this year's World Series of Poker.

The U.S.-facing online poker site has announced that a total of nine players have won $12,500 WSOP Main Event prize packages by playing World Series of Jackpots — all for just $3 apiece.

"We're only a couple weeks in, but we've already seen our World Series of Jackpots shower nine players with a WSOP prize package," said Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "For just $3, it's proving to be the fastest, most lucrative way to score a seat in the world's richest poker tournament. We can't wait to see who hits the jackpot next."

World Series of Jackpots tournaments are based on Americas Cardroom's popular Jackpot Poker game. Each tournament begins as soon as all three players have posted their $3 buy-in. The prize pool is only revealed after all three players are seated.

If the revealed prize pool is $37,500, all three players win a $12,500 World Series of Poker prize package that includes the Main Event buy-in and money for travel and accommodations. If the jackpot isn't hit, a $6, $18, or $27 prize will be revealed. The $27 and $18 jackpots will see all three players splitting the pot. If the prize pool is $6, the tournament will play out and the last player standing will win the entire pot.

Since returning March 23, the jackpot has been hit three times, awarding all three players in each game with a $12,500 World Series of Poker prize package. Online poker players caarlinhos2, baseballstud, tax attorney, kingplumb, 1977corvette, doubles9s, IMATM, PeNtaKil, and InSilence have all punched their ticket to Sin City.
