Americas Cardroom resumes OSS Cub3d tournament
20 Apr 2017
"People showed up in record numbers to the MOSS and fueled all prize pools beyond the guarantees," stated Michael Harris, spokesperson for Americas Cardroom. "It's a testament to how far we've come and a great sign for what's on tap."
The OSS Cub3d is Americas Cardroom's three-part tournament series. It features the Mini Online Super Series (MOSS), the now-underway Online Super Series (OSS) and the upcoming Bigger Online Super Series (BOSS). Players can compete for over $5.7 million in guaranteed prize money, three Punta Cana Poker Classic prize packages, commemorative sterling silver bracelets for the three Main Event winners and more.
The MOSS concluded this past Sunday and featured a $200,000 GTD Main Event. However, the final prize pool grew to $276,480, an impressive feat. Online poker player "dbrinker" won the lion's share, walking away with $49,489 and a sterling silver bracelet.
In total, the MOSS offered up $681,825 in guaranteed prize money — with final prize pools surpassing that number by $375,000.
The OSS offers over $3,100,000 in prize money over 77 events, including a $1 million guaranteed tournament on 30 April, the final day of the series. The last several Million Dollar Sunday tournaments at Americas Cardroom saw prize pools beyond what had been guaranteed, including the one in the inaugural OSS Cub3d last summer.
