Americas Cardroom introduces auto top-up feature
29 May 2012
"We have received literally thousands of requests for this feature over the past few months, and we're listening to the players," stated Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "So we focused our efforts on adding the option to our latest software update. No more missing hands to rebuy at the table. No more worrying about not having the ammo to support a monster hand. Auto Top Up makes sure players always have the number of chips they need to do damage."
With auto top-up enabled, if a player loses some cash playing in ring games and their chip stack falls below a specified minimum, their chip stack will automatically be replenished as long as the player has enough money in their account.
Also with the new software upgrade poker players also have the ability to control automatically the amount used to buy-in to the tables. The feature is called auto buy-in and just like auto top-up allows players to configure their minimum chip stack size and buy-in amount as the table minimum, the table maximum, or a set number of big blinds.
Harris notes these tools are especially useful to improve the reaction time at the tables. Without auto top-up, a poker player could be sitting with only a few chips to go to battle with. But with auto top-up enabled, players don't have to worry. Auto buy-in allows players to get to the tables faster with a configurable buy-in amount.
The new chip stack replenishing tool is optional, and players can turn it on or off by hitting the Table Options at the top left of a ring game table, selecting the Buy-in/Top Up tab, and following the instructions.
Auto top-up and Auto buy-in are available through the latest software update. Existing players will receive the update the next time they launch the online poker software. New players will get the latest version of Americas Cardroom when they download it.
