Americas Cardroom holding 'Million or Bust' promotion

27 Jul 2015

(PRESS RELEASE) -- What's it like to turn a $12 buy-in into a possible $200,000 payday? Just ask scores of Americas Cardroom players who are gearing up to play Million or Bust, a Jackpot Poker game designed exclusively to funnel players into the Aug. 2 Million Dollar Sunday tournament.

"Who needs hours to grind the tables when it could take as little as 7 minutes to claim a seat in the next Million Dollar Sunday?" stated Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "With Million or Bust, we're aiming to fill more seats in the Million Dollar Sunday and help players get into it for pocket change. One $12 fee could lead to a life-changing prize in under a minute."

Regular Jackpot Poker tournaments are 3-player Hyper Turbo Sit & Go’s that last an average of 7 minutes. Poker players can enter regular Jackpot Poker tournaments for $2 and play for up to $5,000 or enter for $10 and play for up to $25,000, or enter for $40 to win $100,000.

‘Million or Bust’ Jackpot Poker tournaments will cost $12 to get into. Like all Jackpot Poker tournaments, the Million or Bust prize pool is determined after all 3 players buy-in. If the top prize pool is reached, all three players will win a Million Dollar Sunday seat.

There are three other possible prize pool outcomes. The prize pool could reach $24, $72, or $108. At the $24 prize pool, it’s a winner-take-all tournament. If the prize pool is $72 or $108, the prize pool will be shared evenly among the three players.

Harris notes that 5 out of every 1,000 jackpot games will award players with Million Dollar Sunday seats. "With a brand new way to get into the Million Dollar Sunday, we wouldn’t be surprised if the prize pool surpasses the $1 million guarantee. This could be the biggest Million Dollar Sunday yet."
