Amanda Kiernan receives Praesepe accolade

29 Oct 2015

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Amanda Kiernan, Profit Protection Manager based at Praesepe's head quarters in Milton Keynes (UK), received the company's 'Outstanding Contribution' award at the annual Business Round-Up symposium which was held at the prestigious Holborn Bars, one of London's most impressive destinations for special events.

Built nearly 150 years ago in ornate Victorian Gothic style, Holborn Bars hosted 80 managers representing the market-leading Cashino AGC and Beacon Bingo brands, members of the Praesepe Executive Team, and head office support staff.

Reflecting on the event, Nick Harding, CEO of Praesepe, said, "The theme of this year's Business Round-Up was 'Winning Together' with the focus on performance through people. By any standards it was an invigorating and uplifting day which reflected the calibre of what I believe to be the very best team in U.K. gaming. I was particularly pleased to be able to recognise the achievements of Amanda Kiernan, the recipient of the 2015 Outstanding Achievement Award, as well as welcome team members from our top 10 performing venues, representing the shining stars in the Praesepe extended family.

"2015 has been a very good year for the business during which we have set new standards in customer service, enhanced further the player experience and in many of our venues, achieved new income records. This was an opportunity to recognise these successes, recognise a team which is at the very top of its game and recognise that as a group we should never stop working to improve in every way possible."

Jeni McLaren, Head of People, Communications and Media, who was responsible for organising the Business Round-Up, added, "The aim was to put on a business event which was more than simply listening to presentations from the Executive Team. The theme extended into a series of exercises and workshops with the emphasis on the importance and value of teamwork. In the evening, attendees had the choice of having a meal in Covent Garden or attending the theatre courtesy of Praesepe. The feedback we have received has been extremely positive and we are exploring ways of developing further what is already a successful formula."
