Access Gaming Delivers "Schatzkammer" Online Slot Machine to Austrian Lotteries

29 Nov 2001

DUBLIN, Ireland –(Press Release) –- Access Gaming Systems (Europe) Ltd. using its Games Development subsidiary "Naji" has delivered the latest addition to Austrian Lotteries internet gaming portal.

"Schatzkammer" is a 5-reel, multi-line slot machine with bonus game, designed in the style of an ancient Egyptian treasure chamber. There are 8 symbols including 1 scatter symbol. The aim of the game is to achieve 2, 3, 4, or 5 similar symbols in one or more of the 5 lines. The bonus game is based on a weighted pay table meaning the potential wins are far greater than those attainable in the main game. The total payout is configured to 90.71% with a maximum prize of ATS 250,000 (c. US$ 16,000). Schatzkammer is now live for cash.

According to Paul Barnes, AGS Vice President of Sales & Marketing, "Schatzkammer is the first of our live games to use a weighted pay table, and represents another innovative "first " for Austrian Lotteries. The game is the result of Naji's close co-operation with the games experts at Austrian Lotteries, who have created an excellent animated full-screen entertainment experience.

``There are now 9 unique games in the GamesWorld section of their site, 4 in the Casino section and 3 in the Draw Lottery section, making it the most content-rich Government regulated gaming site on the Web".

Schatzkammer was developed using AGS's Games Development Kit (GDK). The game concept was developed in collaboration between Naji and Austrian Lotteries, whereby the Austrian's supplied the branding, the graphics and performed the pre-live testing. The GDK "Slot Croupier" was used as the basis for the game logic.

The AGS interactive gaming system is an extremely secure, scalable, robust and high performance transaction processing architecture for interactive gaming via the internet, interactive television and wireless networks, supporting Casino, Instant Lotto, Draw Lotto and Sports Betting games. It was the first internet gaming system in the world to be certified by a government gaming authority in a fully regulated jurisdiction.

The AGS System has been licensed to major gaming operators in Australia, Austria, Germany, France, Holland, Norway and the United Kingdom. Access has more than 90 staff developing, supplying and servicing the on-line gaming industry.
