888's fine heightens interest in WrB Responsible Gambling Innovation

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Last week's announcement that 888 had been fined a record £7.8 million for technical shortcomings, which served to undermine its self-exclusion processes, has given added importance and interest to the forthcoming WrB Responsible Gambling Innovation C-Level symposium organized by Clarion Gaming (12 September, OXO2, London).

The fine followed a 13-month-long investigation by the U.K. Gambling Commission, which found that the 888 system inadvertently allowed players who had self-excluded from the company's casino, poker and sports games to continue to access their accounts on the brand's bingo platform.
