2019 US Poker Open dates announced

9 Oct 2018

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Poker Central today announced the tournament dates for the second annual U.S. Poker Open. From 13-23 February 2019, Poker Central will host the second leg of the prestigious High Roller Triple Crown out of the PokerGO Studio at Aria Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The U.S. Poker Open will feature five $10,000 buy-in tournaments, three $25,000 buy-in tournaments, one $50,000 buy-in tournament, and will further expand the high-roller contest with a new $100,000 buy-in main event – a total of 10 events across the entire series. The series champion will receive a bonus payout of $100,000, contributed by Poker Central, in addition to the coveted championship trophy.

As poker’s most experienced players compete for the title of U.S. Poker Open champion, championship points will be awarded to players who cash in each event. Last year’s U.S. Poker Open champion, Stephen Chidwick, took home a grand total of $1,256,650 including two wins across eight events.

The tournament will be live-streamed exclusively on Poker Central’s OTT service PokerGO, with original episodes to air at a later date on NBC Sports Network.

“The U.S. Poker Open, and the trio of high roller majors including Super High Roller Bowl and Poker Masters that comprise the High Roller Triple Crown, further solidifies ARIA as the epicenter of high-stakes poker action,” said Sean McCormack, director of poker operations for ARIA. “We will continue to bring our guests the most player-friendly poker events in the industry with our Poker Central partnership firmly in place through the foundation of the PokerGO Studio.”
