10 remain in Circa's 2023 NFL Survivor contest

19 Dec 2023

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Leading sports betting brand Circa Sports’ professional football contest, Circa Survivor, has only 10 entrants remaining. The high stakes contest had 13 remaining contestants before three fell on Sunday.

Two games took out the three entries. Two of the entries picked Tennessee, who were up 13-3 at halftime and 16-9 with just minutes left in the game. Houston would go on to score late in the fourth quarter and win in overtime, 19-16. The other fallen contestant picked Green Bay, who trailed for most of the game against Tampa Bay and eventually lost 34-20.

Other contestants endured a major sweat due to their picks. Two started their weekend by picking Cincinnati over Minnesota. Cincinnati trailed 17-3 going into the fourth quarter of the game. They stormed back, scoring three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, before winning the game on a field goal in overtime. The most popular pick, LAR, led most of the game but had a late scare from Washington as they cut the lead to one touchdown towards the end.

Week 16 will be a split-week that requires two entries. The first leg, week 16A, will be the games played on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Every contestant will need to pick one game during that leg. Those who advance to week 16B must pick one of the three games on Monday on Christmas day. The Christmas day games are Las Vegas at Kansas City, NYG at Philadelphia and Baltimore at San Francisco.

Last year, 16 of the remaining 30 entrants were eliminated in week 15 resulting in 14 contestants making it to the holiday week. 10 would go on to lose in week 16A, and one more lost in week 16B. Two contestants ended up splitting the $6.1 million prize at the end. This year’s prize pool increased to $9,267,000 meaning every remaining entry is currently worth an implied $926,700. Tensions are high as the number of remaining contestants dwindle with one of the largest prize pools for professional sports betting contests at stake.
