$3.5 million sports bet accepted at Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale placed a $3.5 million bet on the Houston Astros to win the 2019 World Series at DraftKings at Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort Sportsbook today. If Houston wins the World Series, McIngvale will collect $11.2 million. This is the largest single bet in Mississippi Sportsbook history.

Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale made national headlines in recent days on his desire to place the wager, and no other gaming company sportsbook in the world has come forward to accept the bet. “This is the greatest casino and sportsbook in the country,” Said McIngvale. “They play the most action.” McIngvale is originally from Starkville, MS. He currently owns Houston-based Gallery Furniture.
