The Discover Card was introduced in 1986, offering new features to the credit card industry such as no annual fees and cash rewards. In additon to their credit card, Discover offers prepaid cards. Most online casinos have been aassigned an "online gambling" merchant code by Discover Card. This electronic code is attached to every credit card transaction the company makes. Most US banks and financial institutions automatically reject all transactions with this code, so American players are generally unable to use Discover Card to make deposits.
