ukbetting Continues Boom

UNITED KINGDOM -- As reported by the UK Citywire: "Online gambling firm ukbetting confirms the continued boom in its sector by moving into the black for the first time on an Ebitda basis, but profit taking has knocked its shares.

"Group turnover rose 57% to £85.6 million and gross profit rose 109% to £19 million. However exceptional items and non-recurring costs sliced into this but ukbetting still made earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) of £100,000, its first ever positive return at this level.

"However ukbetting (UKB) is not just about online gambling it also has a content division, which includes website Football365 and Planet Rugby. This boasted 7.1 million users at the end of 2004, up 25% on the previous year. Since the turn of the year this has risen another 32% to 8.3 million users generating 260 million page impressions a year…"
