UK: Treasury to review changes to online gambling taxation

LONDON, England -- The British Treasury announced a review of the taxation of offshore online gambling this morning, according to Reuters.

It includes a shift to tax online gambling "where it is consumed" rather than where the supplier is based, the report said.

The Treasury will now review the proposals that were announced last week by the Culture Minister John Penrose to clamp down and close loopholes on offshore gambling companies, the Reuters report said.
