UK: Record bets on eventual election outcome
10 May 2010
LONDON, England -- The discussions are ongoing and the eventual outcome of last week's UK election remains up in the air, but that hasn't stopped the public betting on it, the BBC reports.
Punters have now turned their attention to the eventual outcome of who forms the government, the BBC said.
A spokesman for William Hill described the British public as "gone mad" on betting, the report quoted.
An astonishing £25m has been wagered on the results of the talks, the BBC mentioned.
