The Reel Life
Before The Reel Life dedicated our life to online slots, we went to college. And boy oh boy, we had a great time. But even our wildest nights don't come close to a night a Rhode Island student had last week.
According to EastBayRI.com, a Roger Williams college student left his severely damaged car in a sand trap at the Montaup Country Club late Friday night. A groundskeeper at the club discovered damage to two fairways the following morning and then found the abandoned car in a sand trap near the 10th hole.
The police didn't exactly have to do much investigating to find out that the car was registered to Andrew Westerkamp, a student at nearby Roger Williams. As a matter of fact, he lives in the dorms right next to the course. Police went to his room at 8 a.m. and found Westerkamp asleep and had a tough time waking him up.
Westerkamp told police that his car was missing and said he had nothing to do with the incident. However, other students reported that they were with him last night as he went on his golf course rampage. According to the article, students said that they "tried to pull the car out with a strap attached to a Jeep." They were unsuccessful.
Oh, and besides finding the abandoned car, police found two bags of marijuana in the center console. And a bag of weed in Westerkamp's dorm room. He is being charged with vandalism, reckless driving, obstruction, and possession of marijuana.
There's not much more to say with this story, but The Reel Life can assure its readers that the next time we go on a joy ride in our car, we will avoid any golf establishments. And we will hide the drugs a little better as well.
