Terrelle Pryor NFL Supplemental Draft Odds released
19 Aug 2011
It's been an incredibly scandalous off-season for Pryor. An NCAA and OSU investigation determined that Pryor was the recipient of improper benefits; which included up to eight different cars, according to Sports Illustrated.
In early June he decided to withdraw from OSU, thus making the NFL his next stop.
After doing the research and crunching the numbers, BetOnline.com pinpoints the fourth round as the 3-2 favorite as to when Pryor's name is called. One would think that the former number one high school recruit would be earmarked for the first round, but BetOnline's odds makers don't think so: they have him as a 10-1 longshot to go that early.
"On athletic ability alone, Pryor is an NFL player," stated BetOnline Spokesman Dave Mason. "However, he will be drafted as a project - doubtful he ever plays QB at the next level unless it's in a Wildcat offense; wide receiver or tight end is his destiny."
BetOnline also posted odds on which Conference will draft Pryor. The AFC is the -125 favorite over the NFC at -105 (odds subject to change).
"The AFC is favored due to teams like the Bill Bilichick and the New England Patriots taking low risk - high reward players. Al Davis of the Oakland Raiders being enamored with physical tools over actual football skills. And of course the Miami Dolphins and their Wildcat Offense," explained Mason.
