Tero Kalliomäki takes European Masters of Poker Bulgaria title

The four-day €700 + €70 main event attracted 214 players, creating a total prize pool of €145,320, from which 27 players would reap cash rewards. The main event buy-in had been dropped 30 percent from €1,000 + €100 while the starting stack was increased 30 percent to 26,000 chips.
Finns Kalliomäki and Jarkko Pennonen made it to the last two of a final table dominated by Bulgarian players. The final hand saw Kalliomäki shove the button with 10c 10s and Pennonen make the call with Kh 9h. It wasn’t to be for Pennonen as he stayed behind on a board which ran out 7s 6c 2s Ah 2d. The Finn took home €22,900 for his efforts.

The European Masters of Poker now prepares for its fourth stop at Gran Casino Barcelona in Spain, which will take place from September 13-16.
