Tabcorp names permanent chief executive

AUSTRALIA -- As reported by the Australia Age: "Tabcorp's acting chief executive Elmer Funke Kupper has been handed a $4.75 million jackpot with his tenure at the top being made permanent today.

"Mr Funke Kupper, a former banker, has been in the position for the past four months since the gaming giant off-loaded the previous incumbent, Matthew Slatter, over the company's performance.

"Tabcorp chairman Michael Robinson said Mr Funke Kupper was 'an outstanding choice' to fill the positions of managing director and chief executive permanently.

"...Mr Funke Kupper has been a senior executive at Tabcorp for nearly 18 months and was previously responsible for the company's gaming and wagering divisions..."
