Sunpoker Signs Poker Superstar Kenna James
CURACAO – (PRESS RELEASE) -- SunPoker.com is proud to announce the signing of poker superstar Kenna James to become the face and spokesperson of the brand. Kenna will serve as the captain of "Team SunPoker", and as such will be on a mission to teach every player under the "Sun" how to play better poker.
Kenna will host a special "Kenna's Korner" table on Thursday evenings at www.SunPoker.com at 9:00 PM (schedule permitting), where members of "Team SunPoker" (players that have qualified for any land based event through SunPoker.com) will be able to play and chat with Kenna to pick his brain as to how to improve their game.
In addition to his role as captain of "Team SunPoker," Kenna will represent SunPoker in tournament play. Kenna will proudly wear the SunPoker logo, and a percentage of his winnings will be donated, along with a matching sum from SunPoker, to selected charities.
"Kenna is the perfect choice to be our poker ambassador," says Adam Smirnis, Poker Room Manager, SunPoker.com. "His knowledge and passion for the game, coupled with a personality that has made him a huge fan favorite, will enable Kenna to truly help SunPoker players and all fans of the game understand and play poker like a professional."
Kenna has emerged as one of the top players in the world right now, currently ranked second in the Bluff Magazine's "Who's Hot Power Rankings." Winning over two million dollars in major tournaments around the world, Kenna is considered one of the top pros on the Professional Poker Tour today. Equally as important, Kenna is recognized as one of the most approachable and well-liked players in the world.
"It has always been my desire to find a way to give back to the game that has been so good to me," says James. "I was never one to look for and take advantage of the weaker "fish" in the game, but rather I always looked to elevate my game by playing against the best. SunPoker's commitment to teaching the game, as well providing one of the best places on the Internet to learn, play and win, makes us an ideal team."
