VANCOUVER, BC -- The controversial Vancouver casino expansion projects high revenue from locals, The Globe and Mail reported.

Figures projected by the B.C Lottery Corp. are in the $130 - $155-million range, the report said.

Casino supporters, the B.C Lottery Corp. denied that this revenue would come from people who currently use other casinos, insisting it would be new business, The Globe and Mail report said.

Opposition to the casino has been growing locally, the report noted.
