OpenBet collaborates with Betfair for fixed odds gaming platform

(PRESS RELEASE) -- OpenBet is pleased to announce that Betfair Sportsbook & Racebook has chosen its sportsbook technology to support the launch of its fixed odds gaming platform. For the first time, Betfair, the largest international online sports-betting provider and pioneer of the successful Betting Exchange, will be offering fixed odds prices on its Exchange markets.

OpenBet is providing the underlying sportsbook technology that will allow Betfair to offer its customers a fixed odds betting alternative to the existing Exchange for the first time. The new fixed odds betting capability, provided by OpenBet, will allow Betfair to compete on the minority of markets where it has historically been less competitive.

Today's announcement sees Betfair further extend its relationship with OpenBet. In 2008, OpenBet was chosen to provide Betfair with the technical infrastructure for the Betfair Arcade offering and in 2011, Betfair opted for OpenBet?s market-leading B2B back-end platform to manage their mobile sports-betting capabilities.
