Ontario may follow other provinces and allow online gambling: McGuinty
24 Feb 2010
TORONTO, Ontario -- Ontario is considering, like other provinces, expanding into online gambling, The Canadian Press has reported.
Premier Dalton McGinty described virtual gambling as a "reality", in the Canadian Press report.
The question is whether the province should provide regulated online gambling rather than allowing potential revenue to go offshore, The Canadian Press said.
Revenue has been falling at the OLG (Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation), the report noted.
