OLG facial scans to help gambling addicts
26 Nov 2010
ONTARIO -- Ontario is introducing a high tech facial recognition system at its casinos and racetracks, CBC reported.
The system is designed to help identified and self-excluded gamblers from gaining entry and further problems for themselves, CBC said.
Anyone registered for the service who enters will cause an alarm to sound to alert staff, the report explained.
The equipment has been approved by the Ontario Information and Privacy Commissioner, CBC noted.
