Nova Scotia: Gambling website has merit
25 Aug 2010
NOVA SCOTIA, Canada -- The talk of online gambling in Nova Scotia continues, according to the CBC.
The finance minister Graham Steele responded to criticisms of the venture pointing out that a regulated government website is preferable to "unregulated, offshore sites", the CBC said.
He said thousands of Nova Scotians already gamble online and that bans do not work, CBC reported.
Nova Scotia is the latest Canadian province to announce an active interest in launching a government owned and regulated online gambling site.
