SCOTLAND -- As reported by the Edinburgh Evening News: "Lothians SNP MSP Shirley-Anne Somerville claims local bingo halls may be at risk because of a tax rise imposed by Chancellor Alistair Darling.
"The rate of duty paid by licensed bingo clubs increased from 15 per cent to 22 per cent last month...
"...Ms Somerville said: "The bingo club is part of the social fabric of communities..."
