OCEAN SPRINGS, Mississippi -- As reported by the Biloxi Sun Herald: "The Board of Aldermen voted Tuesday to reaffirm its resolution opposing casino gaming in Ocean Springs and Jackson County.
"...Board members held a lengthy discussion about the proposed Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians casino project on Mississippi 57 in Ocean Springs.
"...The board voted to proceed with their objection by sending an official letter to Gov. Haley Barbour and the Department of Indian Affairs stating the board's position opposing gaming in the city and county..."
