Ivey to appear on ESPN newsmagazine show

30 Oct 2009

(PRESS RELEASE) -- ESPN's award-winning primetime newsmagazine E:60 will feature a candid look at professional poker superstar Phil Ivey in the episode airing Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. ET. The program, which launched in October 2007, combines investigative reporting, in-depth profiles of intriguing sports personalities and features on emerging star athletes. These stories are presented in a fresh and innovative format that incorporates producer/correspondent meetings.

Ivey is considered the best poker player in the world, and E:60 takes viewers along for a ride with the high-roller. Media-shy his entire career, Ivey opens up with an exclusive all-access pass into his crazy life, including a four-day journey around the world in a private jet.

As E:60's Chad Millman reports, the 33-year-old Ivey is the youngest poker player in history to win seven World Series of Poker bracelets, and this year, he beat his way through a field of 6,500 players in the WSOP Main Event to earn a seat at the coveted final table beginning Nov. 7.
