Gaming machines help Ladbrokes revenue rise

LONDON, England -- Ladbrokes reports an 8 percent rise in revenue thanks to in-store gambling machines, according to the Financial Times.

Overall pre-tax profits rose 49 percent, 21 percent was directly attributable to increased revenue at gaming machines, the report said.

The company's online gambling platform roll out, however, has been delayed, also evident in revenue figures which showed digital revenue down 50 percent, the Financial Times report said.
