Felix Schneiders hosts annual charity tournament on PokerStars

21 Apr 2017

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Team PokerStars Pro Felix Schneiders is running a charity poker tournament at on 23 April at 19.30 CET (18.30 ET). This event has quickly become an annual fixture on the online poker calendar with attendance from a range of poker pros from around the globe. This time, the event, which is to be co-hosted by Fedor Holz, centres around the €11.11 Freezeout Bounty Poker tournament, and will raise funds for a variety of charitable good causes which include helping the homeless, children in need in Nepal and children with leukemia.

Organizer and Team PokerStars Pro Felix who will stream the charity poker tournament is hoping that the money raised – (100% will go to charity) will surpass the €4,444 donated by poker players last year. While all of the proceeds from the tournament will go to good causes, participating players will benefit from a range of prizes personally donated by the participating pros.

Felix has donated an hour’s worth of tuition as a bounty on his head. Players who have followed suit and similarly donated money-can’t-buy prizes include Felix’s fellow PokerStars Team Pro Online members Jaime Staples, Adrienne Rowsome, Lex Veldhuis, and Randy Lew; Team PokerStars Pro Celina Lin, and other poker pros such as Jan Heitmann. Players can win prizes including access to coaching, tuition and Q&A sessions, as well as surprise gifts and poker memorabilia. Bounties are not progressive and everyone is in with a chance of a win as in the case of a pro knocking out another pro the resulting bounty will go into a raffle which any player can win.

The charity poker event can be found on the PokerStars client under the Home Game tab, but to participate, players will first need to register via e-mail and transfer at least €11.11 to Paypal account to sign up. Once this is done, they will get details of the home game club and can then sign up to play. There will be more options to donate directly to on Felix’s stream throughout the tournament.
