Desperate Housewives Digs Nails into Football's Most Eligible Receiver

SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The NFC defending champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, are off to a disappointing start, and now they're without their star wide receiver, pro-bowler Terrell "Terrible" Owens. After calling out his quarterback and team, and participating in conduct "detrimental to the organization," T.O. has been suspended indefinitely by Philadelphia, and may never play in an Eagles' jersey again. What's in store for Terrell now, and where will we next see the talented Mister T.O.?

According to a new prop bet and set of odds on Betmaker.com, T.O.'s next career move may be from I-95 to Wisteria Lane. The veteran sportsbook says that chances are Terrell Owens will use his connections with Nicollete Sheridan - and his past performance in their steamy Monday Night Football commercial - to lobby his way onto the ABC hit show, Desperate Housewives. The odds for T.O. joining the cast are the favorite at 17 to 100.

Other non-football options that Betmaker has considered for T.O. include becoming the next big sports star on the Surreal Life, with potential for a bad VH1 spin-off (17 to 1); and becoming the next football player, after Gary Hogeboom, to appear on CBS's reality TV series, Survivor (15 to 1).

Betmaker also feels that Terrell has a good chance of returning to the football field, and has posted favorable odds that T.O. will be forgiven by the Eagles' organization and return to the flock (4 to 1), or will be cut by the organization and picked up by another team (4 to 1). There are also 18 to 1 odds posted that T.O. will return to football as a commentator, allowing him to speak on his favorite football topics, including himself, the god-like Brett Favre and why Donovan McNabb is overrated.
