Cordish files $600 million lawsuit

BALTIMORE, Maryland -- Cordish Cos has filed a defamation suit in the Baltimore City Circuit Court, according to a report in the Maryland Gazette.
Cordish claim that the Maryland Jockey Club, Indiana Downs and others defamed them in order to damage the company's plans for the Anne Arundel Casino, the report said.
Cordish and Indiana Downs had a disagreement over management fees, which Cordish said resulted in Indiana Downs and other defaming them, the Maryland Gazette reported.
The Maryland Jockey Club declared the claims "baseless", the report made note.
