IRELAND -- A huge and clever gamble went off without a hitch, The Irish Independent reported.
The bet involved dispatching a bunch of drivers to place bets on a horse at over a hundred different betting shops, the report said.
The plan involved co-ordinating 200 people to arrive at betting counters and to place the bets at the same time on "D Four Dave" racing in Kilbeggan.
The plan worked with over $300,000 in winnings, The Irish Independent said.
The Irish Bookmakers Association said there was nothing illegal committed, the report added.
