Churchill Downs donates to literacy program

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – As reported by the Business First of Louisville: "Officials from Churchill Downs Inc. (NSADQ: CHDN) on Monday will announce a $100,000 donation to Every 1 Reads, a partnership between Greater Louisville Inc., Louisville-Jefferson County Metro Government and Jefferson County Public Schools.
"The goal of the program is to have every JCPS student reading at or above grade level.
"…Partners involved in the Every 1 Reads program are preparing to wrap up an $8 million fundraising campaign launched in 2004..."
