Churchill Downs completes deal for Harlow Casino Resort

MISSISSIPPI -- Churchill Downs announced completion of its purchase of Harlow's Casino Resort and Hotel yesterday, The Herald-Leader reported.

The acquisition cost Churchill Downs $138 million, the Herald-Leader said.

It's also Churchill Downs first casino without a racetrack, which marks a new direction within the gambling market for the company, The Herald-Leader report noted.
