Catskills casino advocacy group launched

MONTICELLO, News York -- As reported by the Mid-Hudson News: "A group of community leaders from the Catskills Tuesday announced it has launched The Future of the Catskills Coalition to advocate on behalf of the St. Regis Mohawk Casino at Monticello Raceway and the region as the casino project nears the federal approval stage.
"The group will serve as an ombudsman, linking the project to the community, working with Empire Resorts, owner of the racetrack/racino and partner with the Native American Tribe to build the casino, to insure that the economic benefits generated from the construction and operation of the casino stay in the region.
"Co-chairman Steven Vegliante they plan on keeping the public involved in the process..."
