Canada overhauls gambling laws in crime crackdown

OTTAWA, Canada -- Canada has introduced changes that will see gambling crimes categorized under "serious crime", The Globe and Mail reported.
The changes are set to target crime kingpins, because they will allow for increased penalties, the report said.
Four charges of the 11 affected by this regulation change relate to illegal gambling including cheating, The Globe and Mail noted.
